Migrating south

And again we are transported into a different world, the much warmer and significantly more laid back world of the Colaba and Fort district of Mumbai. The vibe of these parts of the city is very different from New Delhi, while Delhi is heavy on history from pretty much every epoch, especially religious buildings and ruins, the landmarks of Mumbai’s Colaba district are mostly colonial. From the impressive Gateway to India, towering near the harbour to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharj Terminus train station and the Art Deco design of the Liberty cinema, this area has everything needed to satisfy the city traveller with a bit of interest in architecture. And for the geeks among us with an interest in logistics, there are of course also the Dabbawalas (the home cooked lunch delivery system).

From the hazardous air in Delhi to the much bluer skies in Mumbai, air quality still not great though
