Australia here we come

We arrived in Brisbane on Monday and took an instant liking in the city. The people are very laid-back and the whole atmosphere is very chilled. The city, despite being the third largest in Australia with 2.4 million inhabitants doesn’t feel crowded and has heaps of green space and utilises all the benefits that come with a river. We very much enjoyed strolling along the heritage walk to see some of the older buildings which are nicely incorporated in the modern CBD (central business district). But the river is definitely the highlight, on both sides there are footpaths from which you can take great pictures of the skyline or just hop on one of the city hopper boats to cross over to the other side for free. There are also plenty of entertainment venues with a river view and the Streets Beach, an artificial beach in the city. After this first impression we can’t wait to see what else Australia has to offer.
